Our Mission
To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Why You Should Care
Belmont University student-athletes care about Special Olympics Nashville and that is why we have partnered with them in the first ever student-athlete talent show at Belmont, called Battle of the Bruins! All proceeds from this event on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 will go to helping Special Olympics Nashville provide new sporting equipment and uniforms for competition to their athletes.
