Our Mission
The mission of the Jeff Gordon Foundation is to support children battling cancer by funding programs that improve patients’ quality of life, treatment programs that increase survivorship and pediatric medical research dedicated to finding a cure.
We work for the day, when no child faces the uncertainty of cancer and that successful treatments will not result in negative, long term effects.
In addition, the Foundation provides support to the Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Hospital in Concord, NC, which serves children in the community by providing a high level of primary and specialty care, regardless of their ability to pay.
Why You Should Care
Pediatric cancer is the number one disease killer among children in the United States.
Children diagnosed with cancer and begin treatment are using the same treatments as adults. A pediatric cancer specific therapy has not been developed in over 30 years.
Funding research is necessary and imperative in helping to discover better treatments and ultimately a cure for pediatric cancer.
